SECME Mousetrap Car Marble Challenge

Click here to order the marbles that will be used at SECME National Student Competition ( with a diameter of 25 mm and mass of 21 grams) use for the new design challenge for mousetrap car.

A standard marble with diameter 25 mm (1”) and 21 g will be given to the SECME student team(s) on the day competition before their run at SECME National Student Competition.

The marble must remain in the mousetrap vehicle for the entire run of the mousetrap car in order to receive a qualifying score. If the marble falls off during the run, that run is disqualified. In the instance that a marble is dislodged as a result of a collision with an obstacle, the run is not disqualified, as long as the distance is measured only to the point of collision (which will be measured from the front of the front wheel(s) at the starting point to the front of the front wheel(s) at the stopping point or the point of collision).
